Australia Tour 2006 2006/10/ 18 Day 2 – Adelaide Arrived Adelaide in the early morning. Adeliade International Airport was located just six kilometers due west of the Central Business District (CBD). It took about 40 minutes for us to travel to CBD by ordinary bus. Bus fare was cheap (@A3.1). We arrived Adelaide Central YHA at about 10 am. It was a budget 2 storey hostel located at CBD with walking distance to Adelaide Central Markets , Shopping malls and Central Bus Station. It was well equipped with a large kitchen and community areas. After check-in and a small rest, we went to Light Square which was named after the city's planner, Colonel William Light . Light was buried beneath a monument in Light Square comprising a red granite monolith topped with a surveyor's theodolite.
